Meet the Kids

These are just a few stories about the children at Mansa Fountain of Blessings! You will get to learn a little bit about their background and interests.

Meet Susan C.

Susan is 15 years old and in grade 9 this year at Mansa Seconardy School. She truly enjoys going to school and her favorite subject is math. “During my free time, I enjoy praying for my family and playing with my sister,” Susan said. She stays in the village called Kabwesha with her mother, two older brothers, and one younger sister.

Susan loves coming to Mansa Fountain of Blessings for learning about God’s word, playing with her friends, and eating a hot Zambian meal daily with meat, which she usually doesn’t get at home. Her mother sells popcorns in front of their house to try and help support the household.

Susan’s Favorite Bible Verse:

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isiah 9:6

Susan does many house chores at home such as cleaning all the dishes, sweeping the surroundings, and fetching water. She enjoys playing jump rope and soccer. She was very excited to learn how to make her own dolls by sewing them and decorating at Mansa Fountain of Blessings on craft day. Susan also enjoys going to church which is held at her neighbor’s house, to sing and listen to the commands God wants.
